BIOGRAPHY
Many years ago in the cold, Hoth-like wasteland of Vermont, Nick Nardelli, Patrick Fuller, and Matt Nolan came together to form one of Burlington's seminal hardcore bands, Never Only Once. N.O.O. built a strong local following and introduced the region to a more refined post-hardcore sound, drawing comparisons to bands such as Quicksand, Bad Brains, and Hot Water Music. As the band reached the cusp of breaking free of New England's grasp (favorable reviews in CMJ, most added in Gavin, charting ahead of Glenn Danzig on the loud rock chart) they disbanded due to personal issues.

Years later, paths crossed once again in Boston, and The Faithfull were born. Adding the skillful muscle of Dan "the Booch" Murphy on bass, the band set their course to convert the masses. They recorded and released a well-received four song demo in the summer of 2001, and garnered a loyal fanbase based on their steady touring and impassioned live performances.

At the start of winter 2002, The Faithfull retreated into the confines of Big Sound Studios in Westbrook, Maine, and with Justin Clark at the helm they recorded the eleven guitar rock exclamations that make up Our Own Heroes (RY003). Their simmering debut combines thick, angular guitars with steadfast drumming and gritty, melodic vocals resulting in some remarkably powerful songs that demonstrate the heart, hooks, and hope the band strived for in their music.
